Time is on My Side

Between starting school, networking til I drop, and a new godson, things have just sort of gotten away from me.  To add structure to my days, I've created a weekly schedule, blocking off time each day for the gym, work, school, regular appointments and networking meetings.  I already feel more in control!  I'm super excited and can't wait to start TOMORROW!  I'm not even waiting until Monday ;o)  Keep an eye out for super summer specials from H.A.V.E.N. Virtual Assistance, hitting the social networking posts soon!

Mirror into the Future?

Have you ever met someone who was just like you...only the future you?  It's like looking into a mirror and seeing yourself in a time warp.  I had a fantastic meeting this morning over coffee and, with the exception of her profession, this wonderful partner in a law firm seemed to be me, 10 years from now :o)  Our pasts share many parallels, and the path she took to get to where she is today is pretty much the path I am about to set out on.  I am so lucky to have connected with someone that I can go to for advice if and when necessary, through the ups and downs of my upcoming journey.  So thank you, if you're reading.  You know who you are :o)  I now have a more informed (and somewhat different) perspective on my future and am looking forward to getting started!

Hello again :o)

What a weekend!  The Jewish holiday of Purim was yesterday and, while it usually entails A LOT of running and driving around delivering gifts and saying hello to friends, I decided to stay put until I had to leave for my friend's lunch party.  For those of you who don't know, Purim is a Jewish festival that, among other things, includes costumes -- lots of them :o)  Mostly fun, inventive, humorous and outrageous, and this year was no exception.  So while I didn't get much done in terms of work, I did put a coupon in all of the gift baskets I distributed, along with a 2011 calendar magnet with my business card above it (thank you VistaPrint!).  While most of my day was spent watching television and taking it easy for a change, I still got the word out and did some successful (I hope) networking.  Next year's theme for my gift baskets:  "Shameless Plug"  ;o)

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog.  One of the only advanced marketing tools not being implemented by me so far, I decided to take the plunge.  My company specializes in helping small business owners, entrepreneurs and job seekers save time and money.  You can visit my website at www.havenva.com to view the specifics of what I do and how much I charge.  This blog will, at first, just serve as a journal of sorts as I start my entrepreneurial adventure.  Thanks for reading, and talk to you soon!
